Since 1995, my journey has been guided by two interconnected paths: healing and storytelling. It began with a search for self-healing through Reiki, prayer, yoga, and Ayurveda, which opened the door to energy medicine as a way to balance the spirit and body. Around the same time, I turned to writing, discovering how storytelling could give voice to life’s complexities and offer its own kind of healing.
Becoming a Reiki Master in 1998 solidified my commitment to a lifelong practice of healing, while my writing grew into a powerful way to explore and express resilience. My short story collection, My Daughter's Eyes and Other Stories, published in 2007, mirrored my journey—reflecting human struggle and transformation.
In 2011, after losing my husband to cancer, I came to understand healing as finding meaning in the midst of pain. This lesson shaped not only my approach to energy work but also how I viewed writing—as two practices that help make sense of what feels broken.
Recently, earning my certificate as a Healing Touch Practitioner has been a full-circle moment. Now, I integrate Reiki, Healing Touch, and writing into Healing Narratives, a practice that honors storytelling as a form of energy healing. Through words and touch, I’ve seen how healing can be transformative—not by erasing pain but by helping us rediscover wholeness.
Healing and storytelling are both acts of courage, and through them, I hope to inspire others to connect with their own stories and their innate capacity to heal.
With palms together,
